Pro Wrestling Childhood

I love pro wrestling ever since I was a kid. I remember watching it only on television since internet and youtube doesn't exist yet. (geez I'm so ooold!) We don't have smart phones either or tablets.

i wasn't able to fully enjoy it because my family isn't into wrestling. They just passed by wrestling show from TV. Mom or older siblings are usually in charge of remote control. Guess what, im the youngest, so no remote for me. I just see glimpse of the action and the men wearing trunks. I'm so thirsty for wrestling content. Im drooling so much.

Other sources of hot pro wrestling action are magazines, encyclopedia and other paper media. i remember My grandma has a complete set of encyclopedia. She was a teacher then.  I always get "W" and look up wrestling and pro wrestling but the pictures are so limited ( ugh) or sometimes there is none at all.

There's also a public library. It has an encyclopedia section and there lay different brands of encyclopedia. Lots of pictures of old school pro wrestlers. ( huwaw!) I always came across these names Frank Gotch, Gagne, Lou Thesz, Ivan Koloff

I remember there's a japanese magazine at our high school library. An article about a pro wrestler. There's even pictures of japs pro wrestler wearing only trunks and boots. I really loved it.  i kinda stole it. ( whistling innocently ). Up until now, i still have it in a safe place.

Dictionaries are  also a source of pro wrestling. Some have pictures too, especially the bigger dictionaries.

We do had a local pro wrestling promotion in our country( just one)  but it was kinda short lived.  I wasn't able to watch a live event. They however aired old matches at a tv channel thats very hard to get a good reception.   I barely see anything.

Thanks for reading
